Boston merchant John Rowe's diary entry for 4 December 1770 records his attendance at the trial of the soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre. The next day, Rowe writes that the verdict was announced and that six soldiers were acquitted while two were found guilty of manslaughter. Rowe's diary also records the events of 5-6 March 1770 as well as the trial of Capt. Thomas Preston in October 1770.
